A B O U T
Chelsie Pennello is a Chinese American filmmaker based in Washington, DC. Her work has played at 50-ish festivals in the US (and one time in Canada) over the last four years. Most notably, her dark comedy short, Cherry-Colored Funk, had its New York premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2025. She has enjoyed making stories about losers in her last two short films and is particularly proud of the character of Roberto Ferrari. Right now she is interested in writing about death and is seeking funding for her feature film debut.
